You have to register to submit an abstract. Register online
Once registered, you will received 24h later an Internet address with a login and password to submit your abstract.

- Young Investigators’ Bursaries

HCV2009’s aim is to support Young Investigators and help them attend the Annual Meeting.

In order to achieve the above, HCV offers 2 types of bursaries to selected presenting authors of accepted abstracts who are aged 35 or under and are still in training.

The application is available to anyone fulfilling the above criteria, without geographical restrictions

FULL BURSARIES

Travel bursaries of 800 Euros each will be attributed to the presenting author of the best scored abstracts. These bursaries will be provided with cheque during the Annual Meeting. In addition, registration fees to the meeting will be waived.

REGISTRATION BURSARIES

Registration fees will be waived for presenting authors of selected accepted abstracts fulfilling the same criteria as mentioned above.

APPLICATION INSTRUCTIONS

• Bursary requests must be made on the abstract form at the abstract submission only.
• The name of the presenting author MUST match the name of the applicant.
• Preliminary requests received after the abstract submission will not be considered. Note! Proof of age (clear copy of ID indicating date of birth) and proof of trainee status (letter signed by head of department) are to be sent to the HCV Office, preferably by e-mail to m.davy@b-c-a.fr
  or by fax to: + 33 1 70 94 65 01 at the time of abstract submission but no later than
  June 30th, 2009.
  Deadline for receipt of documents is June 30th 2009
• HCV2009 will automatically decline bursary requests that do not conform with the above terms.
• Confirmations of the type of bursary granted will be sent out by the end of July 2009.
• Name changes of presenting authors (different than at the time of the abstract submission) will be accepted only if made at the time of the submission of the proof documentation.

HCV is willing to assist certain participants with an accepted paper, from resource-limited countries, who encounter financial difficulties to attend the Annual Meeting. Further details can be obtained by contacting the HCV Office, IN WRITING ONLY, after the abstract selection has been officially announced.

All confirmed bursary applicants will be automatically registered to the meeting (no payment of registration fees is required).

IMPORTANT NOTE: HCV will grant the above bursaries only to those presenting authors who will attest that they are not being sponsored or covered by any other source in order to attend the 16th International Symposium on HCV and Related Viruses in Nice.
